There is a frequent Airbus service, the A5, to Victoria coach station, London. The first service departs the North Terminal at 5:15 a.m., the last at 9:50 p.m. During the day there is an hourly service departing the North Terminal at 50 minutes past the hour. Departures from the South Terminal are 5 minutes later. Journey time is around 90 minutes. There are direct Speedlink bus services to Heathrow and Luton airports and services to major towns and cities in the UK.

A number of train services run direct from Gatwick Airport Station into London. Gatwick Express trains run every 15 minutes from 5:20 a.m. – 12:50 a.m. and hourly overnight. Thameslink trains run through London Bridge, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon and King's Cross. Four trains run every hour during the day.
Inter-Terminal Transfer The Gatwick Transit is a free automated rail transfer system that connects the 2 North and South Terminals. Trains run every 3 – 4 minutes from each terminal, journey time is just less than two minutes.
The Airbus links Heathrow Terminals with many London hotels and some main line rail stations. Departing at every 20 – 30 minutes, journey time takes around 60 – 75 minutes. Other than this, the Airbus also links many rail stations and hotels with different destinations at each Terminal. Scheduled bus and coach services run to major towns and cities throughout the UK from the central Bus Station. There is pedestrian access to the bus station from Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Connections are also available to London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted airports. There is an all night bus service from Heathrow to central London.

There are signages for guidance in Arrival areas of each terminal for taxi ranks. Journey time to central London is around 45 – 60 minutes depending on traffic and fare is around £40 – £60.
Heathrow has two rail services to central London. In addition to the London Underground (The Tube) is the Heathrow Express service to London Paddington station. Heathrow Express runs every 15 minutes. The journey time is approximately 15 minutes.
Heathrow provides a regular free bus transfer between all terminals. The transfer bus between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 takes 5 – 10 minutes depending on the destination. Transfer to and from Terminal 4 takes 15 – 20 minutes, depending on destination and traffic.
