Shenzhen has an efficient network of buses. Prices vary from 1 to 3 yuan. There are also 5 tourist lines which connect all the tourist attractions.
Approximately 30 bus stations operate out of Shenzhen, providing visitors with convenient transportation to and from the surrounding cities and towns. Buses departing to Guangxi, Hunan, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Hubei, Anhui, Hainan and Sichuan provinces and the other cities of Guangdong Province are available from the stations.
There are taxi ranks at all major buildings and shopping malls. Taxis can also be hailed easily from the street.
There are eight passengers transport ports in Shenzhen. Shekou Port, located in the south part of Nanshan District in Shenzhen City is the most convenient with four regular lines to and from Zhuhai, Macau, Hong Kong and Hong Kong International Airport, as well as some non-scheduled lines between Shenzhen City and islands around the city.
Two railway stations service the Shenzhen region. Daily departures to cities such as Beijing, Zhengzhou, Hankou, Wuchang, Nanchang, Jiujiang, Changsha, etc are available. The Shenzhen Railway Station, also called Luohu Railway Station is the most important traffic hub between China's mainland and Hong Kong.
